Joe Cowan has been chief executive officer of Interwoven and a member of the company’s board of directors since April 2007. Cowan is responsible for ensuring the company’s strategy and investments accelerate Interwoven’s position as a global leader in content management solutions that unlock the value of content.

Prior to joining Interwoven Cowan served as chief executive officer of Manugistics Group, a leading global provider of demand and supply chain management solutions. Over a three decade career Cowan has held executive management positions in software companies with broad product portfolios and global operations, including serving as the president and chief executive officer at EXE Technologies and as the president and chief executive officer at Wonderware.

Before joining Wonderware, Cowan served in a variety of sales, marketing, and management positions with such companies as Texas Instruments, Eurotherm Corp., and Monsanto.Cowan received a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University.

As Interwoven’s President, Max Carnecchia leads the company’s global operations to ensure the company delivers business impact to nearly 3,800 customers in 50 countries.  Max Carnecchia has over twenty years of technology leadership expertise with a focus on sales, alliances, technical support, and professional services.

Max joined Interwoven in 2001 as its Vice President of Alliances, and was then promoted to Senior Vice President of World Wide Sales overseeing its sales organizations in the Americas, Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).Prior to Interwoven, he was Vice President of Global Sales for Xoriant, Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations for Smart DB Corporation sales, and has held management positions at IBM, Intel, and Group 1 Software.

John Calonico has over twenty five years of experience in international finance including accounting, mergers and acquisitions, treasury, human resources, facilities and information system management. As Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, he oversees the company’s finance and administration operations.

John most recently served as chief financial officer for iManage, Inc., which merged with Interwoven in November 2003. Previous to iManage, he served as the chief financial officer of Blue Martini Software, Inc., where he orchestrated and successfully completed the company’s initial public offering. He has held Vice President of Finance positions for BEA Systems and Autodesk, and began his career with top four accounting firm of Ernst & Young.

Ben Kiker has nearly twenty years of experience in the enterprise applications industry including executive leadership positions for both public and venture-backed companies. As the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer he is responsible for all aspects of Interwoven’s global marketing strategy including solutions, product, partner, customer and field marketing as well as communications, awareness and branding.

Prior to joining Interwoven in 2006, Ben was Vice President, Americas Marketing for Siebel Systems where he developed and executed an integrated marketing plan to promote Siebel’s solutions portfolio in the Americas. He has also held senior marketing positions with such companies as Onyx Software, Clarify, Vantive, Octel and Aspect Communications. Ben currently serves on the board of directors of Springboard Forward, an award winning job coaching and mentoring service.

Steve Martello has twenty-five years of technology industry expertise in high growth and turnaround circumstances, with a focus on solution development, customer fulfillment models, alliances, market research and competitive analysis.

Steve joined Interwoven in 2002 as Senior Vice President of Client Services, and manages Interwoven’s worldwide consulting services, customer support and educational organizations.

Prior to Interwoven, Steve served as Vice President of Delivery for Scient Corporation. He managed their WW professional services delivery, created a US-based Engineering Center, and linked it to offshore providers. Prior to Scient, Steve spent 17 years in IBM, holding various executive positions in software and services. Most recently, he was Vice President of Development for IBM’s Global Insurance and Public Section industries.

has more than twenty years of experience in content management and network communications technologies. As the Chief Technology Officer, Rafiq oversees the software development, product engineering, and internal systems behind Interwoven’s award-winning products.

Rafiq joined Interwoven from iManage, Inc., in 2003 where as co-founder, he led the technology direction and strategy of the company. Prior to iManage, Rafiq founded M/H Group, a leading provider of technologies integrating personal computers with Wang mini computer systems.

David Nelson-Gal has over twenty five years expertise in enterprise software and infrastructure environments. As the Senior Vice President of Engineering, David is responsible for the technical operations of Interwoven’s worldwide engineering team.

David joined Interwoven in 2004 from Sun Microsystems where he was Vice President of Software Engineering. He has also held engineering and management positions at Ready Systems.

Erik Hansen has over twenty years of international sales, marketing, technical operations, partner and alliance network experience in both the Europe and the United States. As Senior Vice President and General Manager for EMEA, Erik oversees Interwoven’s EMEA management team as well as all aspects of the company’s strategic execution and business operations for that region.

Prior to joining Interwoven in 2005, Erik held senior management and technical positions with Netegrity, TIBCO Software, Apple, Digital Equipment, Altos Computer, and Siemens Pyramid Information Systems.
