Coveted UPSIDE Hot 100 Award Recognizes Innovation, Leadership and
Performance
SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 14, 1999 - UPSIDE
magazine today announced that Interwoven, a leading provider of content
management for the enterprise Web, has
been selected to receive the 1999 Hot 100 Award, UPSIDE's annual
award recognizing excellence
and innovation among the hottest technology industry startups.
UPSIDE will publish
the Hot 100 Award winners in its June
1999 issue, which is devoted almost
entirely to profiling the winning companies. The UPSIDE Hot 100
Award winners were unveiled
today this week at UpsideToday.com.
The 1999 UPSIDE Hot 100 were selected by a team of UPSIDE
editors, venture capitalists,
financial analysts, market researchers and other industry
luminaries who evaluated more than 800
nominations. The UPSIDE Hot 100 Award is judged on a company's
technological achievements,
customer acceptance of products or services, financial
performance, industry partnerships, financial
backing, management savvy and marketing.
"Selecting this year's UPSIDE Hot 100 was particularly
challenging for our team of editors and
advisers, given the fierce market conditions led by a flood of
mergers, acquisitions and IPOs that
disqualified many of our early selections," said David Bunnell,
CEO of Upside Media and editor of
UPSIDE magazine. "We spent many months evaluating each company's
achievements before
selecting the 100 to receive this industry award. UPSIDE felt
that Interwoven has what it takes to
be considered among the 'hottest' private companies around, and
we look forward to watching its
future performance."
"The UPSIDE Hot 100 affirms the recognition we have already
received from our extensive
customer base, many of whom are Web leaders in their own right,"
said Martin Brauns, CEO of
Interwoven. "Interwoven's ongoing innovation in content
management for the enterprise Web is
making us the platform for eBusiness."
