Team Collaboration and Flexible Workflow accelerate time-to-market for
enfinity-based e-commerce sites
Sunnyvale, Calif., December 14th, 1999 - Interwoven Inc.,(Nasdaq:
IWOV) a leading provider of content management for the enterprise Web,
and INTERSHOP Communications, Inc., the world's leading provider of sell-side
electronic commerce software, today announced the selection of Interwoven
TeamSite as the enterprise content management solution to power Intershop
enfinity, Intershop's enterprise e-commerce application. TeamSite will
be integrated with the enfinity Management Center, the back office for
enfinity stores.
Through this partnership, Interwoven provides enterprise-class content
development, workflow and version control for Intershop enfinity. The
result for enfinity customers is secure, rapid content development and
ap-pro-val, which accelerates the deployment of commerce-enabled Web sites.
INTERSHOP enfinity is the first complete XML and Java 2 platform-based,
sell-side e-business application that offers the enterprise market advanced
selling features and the flexibility to grow with rapidly changing e-commerce
business models.
The integration of enfinity and TeamSite enables large teams of technical
and non-technical contributors to create content within the familiar enfinity
environment. TeamSite's advanced workflow allows business managers to
establish procedures for timely approval and deployment of content. Features
such as whole-site versioning and rollback, give central control of the
Web content production process. All of the content management features
of TeamSite have become critical to today's fast-changing enterprise commerce
sites.
"We are excited about the integration of Interwoven TeamSite and Intershop
enfinity," said Petra Vosteher, vice president of business development
and strategic alliances at INTERSHOP. "TeamSite's openness addresses business
managers' current needs while anticipating next-generation techno-logy
demands. As part of the enfinity Management Center, TeamSite allows enter-prise
customers to extend the functionality of Intershop enfinity, em-powering
contributors to produce content for e-commerce applications."
"Interwoven is a natural complement to enfinity," said Jeffrey Engelmann,
vice president of business development for Interwoven. "TeamSite features,
such as configurable workflow, streamline and give flexibility to the
Web production process feeding an enfinity-driven site."
