SUNNYVALE, Calif., August 14, 2000 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leading
provider of enterprise-class content management solutions, today announced that
Global Sources (Nasdaq: GSOL) has selected Interwoven TeamSite as the content
management system for its worldwide network of geographical and industry-specific
Web sites.

provider for the worldwide import-export trade community. Global Sources serves
thousands of active buyers, who access 80,000+ products every day and generate

chosen for its ability to meet the needs of a wide range of Global Sources technical
and non-technical content creators, working in different languages all over
the world.
Global Sources Online ( www.globalsources.com )
was recently selected by Forbes as one of the most promising B2B sites in the
Internet marketplace. The flagship site maintains separate in-depth content
areas dedicated to exhaustive coverage of specific manufacturing and service
industries.
Global Sources selected TeamSite software because it needed an open, scalable
and feature-rich content management solution that would meet the needs of over
400 content creators working in different languages all over the world. Global
Sources will also use TeamSite Templating which means that content can be easily
re-formatted and deployed multiple times across the Global Sources network of
Web sites, print magazines and CD-ROMS.
"Interwoven has provided us with a solution that allows our contributors and
writers from around the world to keep Global Sources Online up-to-the-minute
by updating content instantly," said Theresa Yiu, chief technology officer for
Global Sources. "The scalable and functional eCommerce platform of Interwoven
TeamSite and InterWorld Commerce Exchange allows us to continue our rapid online
growth while involving our key knowledge workers in several different countries."
Yiu added, "A tremendous feature of TeamSite is its support for multiple languages,
which is crucial for a company like ours. Moreover, TeamSite's open architecture
approach has allowed us to integrate the platform with our other systems, particularly
our databases."
Scalability is also a critical feature of TeamSite in supporting Global Sources'
B2B markets. Active users of Global Sources Online made 197,160 RFIs in July
which is a rate of 265 sales leads an hour for suppliers. Traffic as measured
by user sessions totaled over 989,000 in the same month.
"Value-added services have made Global Sources a one-stop shop for its trading
community, which today consists of more than 213,000 importers and over 89,800
suppliers," said Jose Briceno, vice president, Asia Pacific for Interwoven.
