TeamSite Chosen to Meet Requirement for Rapid Roll-out of Retail
Finance Web Sites Including Goldfish and Marbles Credit Cards
SUNNYVALE, Calif.,USA September 7, 2000 - Interwoven, Inc.(Nasdaq: IWOV), the
leading provider of enterprise-class content management software, today announced
that HFC Bank has chosen Interwoven TeamSite software to underpin a range of
eCommerce services, starting with the recently launched Internet-enabled marbles
credit brand. TeamSite will enable diverse HFC Bank staff to rapidly develop
content and deploy a range of sophisticated transactional Web services while
maintaining tight central control.
HFC Bank is one of the UK's fastest growing consumer banks, with over three
million customers and 176 branches across the country. It is the name behind
the Goldfish, GM and marbles credit cards and is one of the UK's largest providers
of retail credit. Goldfish has over one million cardholders. HFC has invested
significantly over the past 12 months in internet-enabling its core businesses.
"The efficiency and quality of TeamSite provides HFC Bank with considerable
productivity benefits," explained Steve Walker, IT development manager at HFC
Bank. "TeamSite allows our teams across technical and marketing departments
to work individually and then integrate and deploy content across all Web sites
and other IT environments like our intranet. We're reducing what would have
been huge manual overheads and have increased roll-out speed by up to 25 per-cent."
Interwoven TeamSite software will support HFC Bank's diverse and open architecture
by integrating content from various software applications that run on Microsoft
Windows NT. Other TeamSite features important to HFC include versioning of both
file system and database assets, and an easy-to-use workflow engine.
HFC is also relying on Interwoven OpenDeploy software, its enterprise-class
content replication software, to provide a secure, flexible and scalable solution
for cross-platform, transactional content transfer to numerous production servers.
HFC Bank is also using XML TeamSite Templating to enforce and protect its various
Web-based brands by merging new content, entered through templates, with the
elements that comprise the company's approved look and feel.
"Interwoven pioneered the role of content management as the critical foundation
for all eBusiness applications," said David Ogidi, UK managing director for
Interwoven. "HFC Bank is the strength behind many household name financial products
in the UK. We are delighted that they have chosen Interwoven to enable them
to help create and deploy sophisticated, dynamic eCommerce initiatives to serve
their enormous and varied customer base."
