Enhanced Integration Extends Content Contribution from the Plumtree Platform

San Francisco, Calif. and Sunnyvale, Calif., - June 26, 2001 - Corporate portal market-leader Plumtree Software and Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leading provider of Content Infrastructure, today jointly announced an extension of their relationship to provide vital Content Infrastructure capabilities for portals. Specifically, Interwoven and Plumtree, a PortalReady Early Adopter, will co-develop new Plumtree Gadget modules to give customers direct access to Content Infrastructure capabilities from the Plumtree Corporate Portal.

Plumtree and Interwoven are creating the new Plumtree Gadget modules using the Interwoven PortalReady SDK (software development kit). The new Gadget modules for Interwoven TeamSite software will allow users to create new content and publish it to the Web from the same portal page they use to access e-mail, sales leads, inventory reports and market news. The new gadgets will be .NET compatible and will support Java and XML standards allowing users to:

- Single-click content contribution - Create content through easy-to-use templates

- Single-click collaboration - Initiate and approve process and workflows

- Intelligent tagging - Capture metadata tags for new and existing content

"Plumtree's position as an Interwoven PortalReady Early Adopter demonstrates the vital importance of Content Infrastructure within a portal framework," said Glenn Kelman, vice president of product management and marketing at Plumtree. "Interwoven is establishing itself as a leader in its space by creating new products that will facilitate seamless integration with portal software."

"The new suite of Plumtree Portal Gadgets for TeamSite will augment the impact of our existing product integration," said Tom Steding, vice president of Interwoven's portal business unit. "Customers can create, publish, and share content with internal and external audiences through the Plumtree Document Directory and other Web sites all from their personalized Plumtree MyPage."

Joint customers, including the Fannie Mae Foundation, Agile Software and IDEXX, are currently using Interwoven Content Infrastructure to integrate content into the Plumtree Corporate Portal. Users publish content directly to the Plumtree Document Directory, a searchable knowledge base that indexes and categorizes content from a wide variety of systems. With the new suite of Gadget modules, users will be able to create content from their personalized portal page and publish it to both the Web and the portal directory.

The gadgets are scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2001. For more information about Interwoven's portal offering, please see http://www.interwoven.com.tw/portal .
