Interwoven Software Enables Contributors to Both Preview Content Before Publishing and Accelerate Business Processes

Sunnyvale, CA - August 21, 2001 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leading provider of Content Infrastructure, today announced that Canadian-based Rogers Communications Inc. (NYSE: RG) has selected Interwoven's Content Infrastructure product suite to manage their public Website. Contributors are now empowered to easily view and test all Web content before publishing to www.rogers.com.

A critical component of Content Infrastructure is content collaboration, which accelerates all eBusiness initiatives with functionality such as virtualization. With content collaboration, non-technical and technical contributors can work in parallel in a virtual development environment. This functionality will allow Rogers Communications Inc. content contributors to preview and test their content modifications throughout the Rogers Website prior to publishing.

"The Interwoven suite will allow us to more efficiently manage the content change process," said Roger Clarke, project manager in the E-Business group at Rogers Communications Inc. "It will not only improve cycle time, but enhance the overall quality of content on www.rogers.com."

Interwoven's Content Infrastructure software enables customers to incorporate diverse Web assets including operational data stored in both a database and the file system, HTML, graphics and multimedia files.

"Rogers Communications recognized the need for a comprehensive Content Infrastructure to leverage all of its eBusiness initiatives," said Joe Ruck, senior vice president of marketing at Interwoven. "Contributors can leverage any Web asset while viewing content in context before pushing it to the Web. This translates into faster time-to-Web and better utilization of existing resources."
