SUNNYVALE, Calif., December 3, 2001 Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leading provider of Content Infrastructure, today announced that Asia’s leading telco SingTel has chosen Interwoven to underpin its Internet initiatives with SingTel’s ISP, SingNet; the SingNet-Interwoven platform is part of SingTel’s commitment to enhance operational efficiency and services for its customers. With the exponential growth of SingNet users, the company will be standardizing its content infrastructure with Interwoven technology across all of SingNet’s Web properties.
The first to provide commercial Internet services in Singapore, SingNet required an open, easy-to-use content infrastructure solution that leveraged existing technology and employee expertise. SingNet first went “live” with Interwoven TeamSite software on October 8, 2001. Interwoven and SingNet worked together to implement the solutions for SingNet Corporate Business Marketing Group within a mere 30 days.
“We chose Interwoven as they offer the most promising solution in the market. By standardizing SingNet’s content infrastructure with Interwoven’s technology, we are demonstrating to our customers that we are constantly looking at how we can improve our operations to serve them better. We hope to realize cost savings and increase efficiency to service our customers even better in time to come,” said Mr. Philip Wu, SingNet’s director for content development.
Content Infrastructure permits publishing of Web content irrespective of technical skill or organizational role and will enable SingNet employees at all levels to contribute content to any of the company’s online properties. As both technical and non-technical contributors can directly update SingNet’s Websites, more relevant and timely content can be made available while simultaneously allowing SingNet to make more efficient use of the Web development team’s resources.
“Interwoven has a proven track record and we anticipate SingTel will realize significant cost and time efficiencies as well as better customer service through Interwoven’s Content Infrastructure platform,” said Anurag Srivastava, vice president Asia Pacific, sales and operations. "I am delighted that we are working closely with SingTel on the evolution of their Internet services delivery."
