The Inktomi-Interwoven alliance will enable Inktomi Enterprise Search to immediately index documents managed by Interwoven TeamSite and MetaTagger, allowing enterprises to streamline the process of publishing, managing and retrieving enterprise content on corporate intranets, extranets, portals and Web sites for effective information retrieval and increased business efficiency.

Through this integration, the search engine will instantly crawl new documents as soon as they are published, allowing enterprises to maintain a more current index and ensure that users have immediate access to new corporate information. Through this alliance, Inktomi Enterprise Search will also utilize the metadata created and captured by Interwoven TeamSite and MetaTagger solutions to more accurately identify the contents of the documents for improved search relevancy.
