Consulting Firm Implements Interwoven to Improve Customer Communications in Multiple Languages Worldwide

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - June 4, 2002 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leader in Enterprise Content Management, today announced that Mercer Human Resource Consulting, a global consulting firm that helps organizations create business value through their people, has gone live with Interwoven to underpin their Human Resources and Investment Consulting public sites. With no previous content management system, it was critical for Mercer to select a comprehensive ECM solution that would enable them to enhance information distribution to all employees and customers.

"With thousands of content assets, including video on the HR and investment consulting sites, it was imperative that Mercer select a content management solution that allowed non-technical knowledge workers to easily post content to the two sites," said Bob Buttacavoli, global director of eCommerce Strategy and Development for Mercer Human Resource Consulting. "Interwoven's enterprise content management was the only solution that offered Mercer instantaneous content deployment, multi-language abilities, and integration flexibility to successfully deliver highly personalized content to our global customer community - no matter where they are located."

With offices in 140 cities and some 40 countries and territories, Mercer has a wide range of contributors within all marketing groups and consulting practices adding content in multiple languages. In order to support the requirements of these contributors, Mercer needed a content management system that would allow them to easily post content no matter what the type - office documents, HTML, PDF, code, video, flash and XML.

Prior to the Interwoven implementation, Mercer's Web team needed to manually recreate all site content into HTML. The results were often time-consuming and costly to deliver. Using Interwoven, Mercer has been able to reduce the time needed to post content to the sites because the bottleneck has been removed. Publishing content that once took several days now takes minutes - instantly reaching a global community.
