Interwoven Named Finalist in the Category of Enterprise Content Management for CMP Media's 2002 RealWare Awards for IT Excellence

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - June 12, 2002 - Interwoven, Inc., (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leader in Enterprise Content Management, today announced that it has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious RealWare Awards program sponsored by CMP Media's Intelligent Enterprise and Transform Magazine. The RealWare Awards recognize outstanding customer implementations demonstrating innovative IT solutions.

Commended for their exceptional implementations of technology in the enterprise, the companies selected as RealWare Awards finalists demonstrated a high level of innovation and significant business impact. Together, Interwoven and customer Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) are finalists for the "Best Enterprise Content Management Application" award.

"Despite the challenging economic environment, demand for Interwoven's innovative ECM solutions remains high," said Michael DeBellis, partner responsible for Enterprise Content Management at Deloitte Consulting. "Working with Interwoven on joint customer engagements we are exposed to one of the industry's most highly responsive technical support staff - and together we bring unparalleled value to the Interwoven solutions our customers implement."

More than 500 technical consultants have completed the Interwoven Certification Program, recognizing them as Interwoven Certified Professionals. The Certification Program was designed exclusively for Interwoven technical consultants (both internal and partners) responsible for implementing Interwoven core products to ensure these consultants deliver the high level of services that Interwoven's global customers have come to expect. Recognizing that customers have their own eBusiness strategy with a unique set of requirements, Interwoven certified consultants have the knowledge, skills, and domain expertise to accommodate specific customer objectives and offer solutions that meet these requirements.

"One of the reasons we have been able to successfully collaborate so closely with long-standing customers like CSFB as well as address the needs of our newer customers is our laser focus on 24X7 technical support and our partners' attention to customers' specific integration requirements," said Steve Martello, senior vice president of services at Interwoven. "Since I came on board in April, our proactive customer advocacy program, partner advantage program and growing number of technically certified consultants have been at the core of our mission and continues to drive satisfaction among Interwoven's world-class partners and customer base."

Interwoven continues to be recognized in the industry as a leader in enterprise content management. In a Q4 2001 survey, Forrester Research asked 874 North American senior executives, "From which vendors will your company consider purchasing content management software?" Interwoven was cited among the vendors being considered by these executives. The findings are detailed in a March 2002 Forrester brief entitled, "Companies' Plans for Content Management in 2002," now available on Interwoven's Website at http://www.interwoven.com.tw/company/features/forrester/index.html

Winners in each of the RealWare categories will be announced later this month. Intelligent Enterprise and Transform will publish a special section devoted to the RealWare Awards finalists and winners. For additional information, see http://www.realwareawards.com
