Thousands of Documents Easily Managed with Interwoven's Collaborative ECM; Company Recognizes 180 Hours in Time Savings a Month as Processes Reduced from Days to Minutes

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - July 29, 2002 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leader in Enterprise Content Management, today announced that Lovelace Health Systems has implemented Interwoven enterprise content management on their employee portal to improve content collaboration across the enterprise. With Interwoven's unique collaborative model for contributing content, Lovelace will efficiently manage the growth of all enterprise assets and ultimately improve employee communications company-wide.

"One of our large pain points was that employees were working on unique versions of documents because there was no central content repository," said Matt Berlin, director of Internet operations at Lovelace Health Systems. "Lovelace quickly realized that collaboration across departments and functions is fundamental to an organization's efficiency goals. Interwoven ECM enables Lovelace to pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously, supporting the need for distinct teams, quick results, and appropriate process controls."

Previously, Lovelace had no content management solution in place. As a result, content experts were storing documents on their local drives and sending change requests to a third party vendor. This was not only time-intensive, but also an expensive process because those who did not create the content were then responsible for updating it. With multiple versions of documents and no central content repository, keeping track of the location of the most current version was extremely difficult. With Interwoven ECM, all employees can easily and quickly post their own content onto the portal, ensuring that the content is accurate and saving valuable company time. Using Interwoven ECM, Lovelace anticipates a savings across the organization of more than 180 hours of work per month by end of Q2 2003, as content publishing that once took days now takes minutes.

"Interwoven enterprise content management enables Lovelace employees to share documents and contribute content directly to the intranet, using tools such as Word, Excel, and interfaces appropriate to their organizational role and technical skill level," said Jack Jia, CTO of Interwoven. "With Interwoven's content collaboration, the same content can be accessed simultaneously by multiple contributors without disrupting the work of others, improving efficiencies across the organization."
