Interwoven's Collaborative Enterprise Asset Management Translates into Significant Time Savings - Tasks that Once Took Days Now Take Minutes

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - July 30, 2002 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leader in Enterprise Content Management (ECM), today announced that JM Family Enterprises, Inc., a diversified automotive company, has implemented Interwoven ECM to deliver collaborative content control to more than 15 information sources for its associates, automotive dealers, customers, retailers, and buyers. Ranked by Forbes as the 18th largest privately held company in the United States, it was imperative that JM Family have a presence that represents their commitment to quality as well as superior associate and customer service.

According to a May 30, 2002 Forrester report, "Firms should consider content management as a core requirement for building a successful portal." JM Family recognized this need and as a result selected Interwoven ECM to collaboratively share and manage all types of assets (PDF, Word documents, Excel, flash, and code throughout the company.

"In order to fully service our customers and associates, we realized the need to provide access to multiple sources of information, but those sources, or portals, are only as good as the content that is contained within," said Ken Yerves, vice president of Technology Delivery at JM Family Enterprises. "Interwoven ECM allows our associates to work collaboratively on all types of content so that changes can be easily made regardless of the location of the contributor."

Implementing Interwoven ECM helped to greatly improve the prior processes that JMFE had in place, resulting in a large timesavings. At the next stage, the developer would schedule time to make the necessary changes and then send it to its to publish, which took place approximately once a week. Using Interwoven ECM, content owners can now collaboratively create and submit changes and updates. JM Family has seen a dramatic increase in overall associate employee productivity and continues to realize valuable timesavings that were previously spent tracking down developers and its team members. A process that could take up to five days now takes minutes.

"As one of the largest privately held companies in Florida, collectively there are more than 3,500 associates and automotive dealers as well as thousands of customers across the U.S. who are constantly accessing information from one of JM Family's portals. Because of the growing volume of traffic and demand for critical corporate and product content, it was imperative for JM Family to have a collaborative content management solution," said Jack Jia, CTO of Interwoven. "Interwoven ECM allows JM Family to put control of the contributed content in the hands of the experts in a collaborative environment."
