Over 50 Customers Implemented in First 10 weeks, Making it the Fastest Adoption of Any New Platform in Interwoven History
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Seybold 2002 Conference - September 10, 2002 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the leader in Enterprise Content Management (ECM), today announced that more than 200 unique customers have downloaded the newest version of Interwoven TeamSite 5.5 software, with 50 completing implementation. This makes it the fastest adoption of any new Interwoven platform in the Company's history.
"A year ago, our customers asked us for faster ROI, easier upgrades, more performance, and greater scalability, and we delivered - I am very proud of our team," said John Van Siclen, CEO and president at Interwoven. "Version 5.5 is nothing less than a state change in our products, providing our customers the faster return on investment and the lowest total cost of ownership of any ECM solution."
What Customers are saying about Version 5.5:
Vectren Corporation - Speedy Upgrade
"We were able to complete the entire upgrade in a day-and-a-half," said Lara Ceresko-Kissel, eBusiness technology analyst at Vectren Corporation. Vectren provides energy and related applied technology solutions to its nearly one million customers.
Berger Financial Group - Smooth, On Time, On Budget
"The upgrade went extremely smoothly - on time and on budget," said Joe Tooman, manager of Web services and business analysis at Berger Financial Group. Berger Financial Group, a manager and distributor of mutual funds, has been an Interwoven customer since early 2001.
Euro RSCG Tatham Partners - Performance Jumps
"After upgrading to Version 5.5, we saved five gigabytes worth of disk storage, removing two-and-a-half million files from our backing store, which resulted in significantly faster back-up time and increased overall performance," said Lance Goodsell, TeamSite administrator at Euro RSCG Tatham Partners. Euro RSCG Tatham Partners is the interactive and advertising arm of the global communications company Euro RSCG.
Stanford University Medical Center - Ease of Administration, a Key Factor for Growth
"Our technical staff is very small, and our plans to expand our contributor base are pretty aggressive," said Mattice Haris, Web branch administrator at Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Stanford University Medical Center. "The new easier-to-use administration features of Version 5.5 will allow us to add more groups, support more initiatives, and increase our publishing output without additional staff."
Opsware Inc - Trouble-free Self Upgrade
"The upgrade to TeamSite Version 5.5 was trouble-free - we did it entirely ourselves," said Chris O'Leary, Web content architect at Opsware Inc., formerly Loudcloud.
AGENCY.COM - Easy Upgrades for Customers
"The conversion tool really came through for us - TeamSite 5.5 represents exceptional quality engineering work," said Aman Datta, technical director with AGENCY.COM. A leading interactive marketing and technology agency, AGENCY.COM takes a user-centric approach to developing interactive solutions for their clients.
TeamSite 5.5 has Raised the Bar in ECM
With over 1,000 existing customers worldwide, Interwoven's flagship product, TeamSite, is already recognized as one of the world's leading ECM platforms. Version 5.5, based on proven, award-winning, fifth-generation technology, has demonstrated that it delivers improved performance, greater scalability, faster recovery as well as easier administration, contribution, and implementation than ever before.
Key Enhancements in TeamSite 5.5 Include:
- Improved Performance - Through enhancements to the TeamSite backing store, including a reduction in required backup time and an optimization of storage utilization, run-time performance has been improved by as much as 70% to 200%.
- Greater Scalability - With Version 5.5, each TeamSite server can now support up to eight concurrent content stores. This enables organization to extend storage bandwidth for better I/O performance. System resources are now used more efficiently so that customers can manage more business initiatives with no additional hardware or database software.
- Faster Recovery - Version 5.5 secures business-critical content with enhanced versioning and improves system reliability for faster system recovery. Content can now be automatically versioned at any stage of development prior to publishing to the production environment.
- Easier Administration - With eight concurrent content stores, each initiative can operate on its own backup and restore schedule without impacting other initiative’s run-time performance. In addition, new initiatives can be supported without the addition of new application servers, eliminating new server maintenance and administration costs.
- Easier Contribution - With the new TeamSite Front Office "Briefcase." users can access all core content management functions -- such as check-in, check-out, version history, change properties/metadata -- on any file that resides on the desktop, by simply right clicking on the mouse. Moreover, Version 5.5 requires minimum training or administrative intervention because new contributors and reviewers can use their existing authoring and office productivity tools.
- Easier Implementation - Improvements in Version 5.5 include out-of-the-box workflows as well as a new easy-to-use upgrade tool. These and other enhancements speed all Version 5.5 implementations. In fact, half of the production upgrades have been completed by the end-user customers themselves without the need for consulting services.
