Interwoven Experts to Discuss How Content Collaboration and Integration are Essential to a Successful Enterprise Content Management Implementation

SUNNYVALE, Calif., - March 3, 2004 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), the world's next-generation enterprise content management (ECM) company, today announced that Interwoven experts, Dan Carmel and Miles Kelly, will be speaking at sessions entitled BPM and Collaboration for the Masses and Enterprise Content Integration, respectively, at the annual AIIM Conference at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, March 8-10, in New York City.

AIIM 2004, "The Enterprise Content & Document Management Event," is the largest conference and expo focused on enterprise content management. In operation for more than 50 years, this annual event attracts business professionals seeking the latest technologies to develop, capture, manage, and store documents and digital content to support business processes, comply with governmental regulations, drive down costs, and gain a competitive advantage.

Session Title: BPM and Collaboration for the Masses
Speaker: Dan Carmel, vice president, Legal and Compliance Solutions, Interwoven
Moderator: Don Post, AIIM Conference Committee
Date and Time: Monday, March 8, 12:45 - 1:45pm
Session Description: This panel will explore approaches and best practices related to simple, inexpensive, easy to implement BPM and collaboration systems that serve a wide base of users. Traditional business process engineering and BPM is focused on mission critical applications involving a small portion of an organization. The evolution of electronic forms, e-approvals, simple routing and tracking, and collaboration tools have enabled organizations to improve productivity and effectiveness of essentially all employees and business partners, not just selected processes. Attendees will learn about ways to improve the productivity of their organization that is missed with traditional BPM implementations.

About Dan Carmel

Dan Carmel is vice president of Legal and Compliance Solutions for Interwoven, and was previously vice president of Marketing and Business Development for iManage (which merged with Interwoven in November 2003). With nearly 20 years of experience, Dan has a proven track record in strategic marketing, sales, and new business development with Internet, customer relationship management, and enterprise software companies. Dan holds a BS and MS in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Session Title: Enterprise Content Integration
Speaker: Miles Kelly, senior marketing manager, IT Solutions, Interwoven
Moderator: Pat Turocy, principal analyst, Doculabs, Inc.
Date and Time: Tuesday, March 9, 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Session Description: The ability to leverage content throughout the enterprise is an essential component of virtually any e-business initiative, particularly ECM, enterprise portals, and customer relationship management systems. However, tapping into the value of existing content is much easier said than done, as content is typically housed in a variety of disparate systems, from managed repositories such as file systems and databases, to other legacy solutions. To successfully leverage content, enterprises must be able to discover and aggregate existing content within all of these disparate systems. Interwoven's Miles Kelly will be discussing best practices for integrating content across the enterprise.

Located in the SolutionCenter on the exposition floor at AIIM 2004, this is one of more than a dozen ECM-focused "ask the expert" educational sessions sponsored by Sun Microsystems along with Doculabs. Attendees can visit the theater presentations for quality, objective, and free education.
