Interwoven Announces Support for the Sun Solaris 10 Operating System; Companies Provide Joint Customers with Tightly-Integrated, End-to-End Content Solutions
ECM Solutions Leader Expands Collaboration with Sun Microsystems through Extended Platform Support and Continued Joint Solution Innovation
Hollywood, FL. - Interwoven GearUp '06 Conference – April 3, 2006 –Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced that it has expanded its technology collaboration with Sun Microsystems through support for the Sun SolarisTM 10 operating system (OS) and StorEdge Compliance Archiving System,as well as through the joint delivery of tightly integrated and end-to-end content solutions including Secure Case Management, Deal Management, and Content Provisioning and Archiving. The expanded relationship reflects the shared commitment of Interwoven and Sun to deliver complete, high-value content solutions that solve specific business process and content management challenges across enterprises and within key vertical industries such as financial services, telecommunications, government, and others.
Sun is currently a Platinum Sponsor at the Interwoven GearUp ‘06 conference, which is taking place this week in Hollywood, Florida. By working closely together over the last several years, Interwoven and Sun today have over 100 joint content solution customers, and approximately 50 percent of Interwoven’s customer base also leverages Sun infrastructure.
As a result of the extended collaboration, Interwoven is certifying its Web Content Management, Document Management, and Content Provisioning solutions on the Solaris 10 OS. Additionally Interwoven’s Content Distribution solution will be available on Solaris 10 OS Sparc and x64, and the company’s Document Management solution is being integrated to the Sun StorEdge NAS Operating System and Compliance Archiving System.Deeper technology integration will better enable the two companies to deliver complete ECM solutions that organizations can easily deploy for the end-to-end management of content throughout its lifecycle, with seamless customer support. - Secure Case Management Solution—The Interwoven-Sun Secure Case Management Solution enables government organizations to streamline the recruiting, security clearance, assignment, and continuous evaluation of intelligence agents within a unified collaborative document management and archiving environment.
- Deal Management Solution—The Interwoven-Sun Deal Management Solution provides a comprehensive offering for Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Private Equity professionals to easily improve their due diligence, collaboration and compliance, and streamline the new account opening process. The combination of all of these elements within an intuitive and feature-rich application enables financial services firms to achieve greater business growth through an increased volume of deals and faster deal closing times.
- Content Provisioning and Archiving Solution—The combination of the Sun Content Infrastructure System with Interwoven’s industry-leading Content Provisioning Solution enables organizations to streamline the previously resource-intensive and error-prone process of aggregating, synchronizing, and deploying code and content changes to composite applications or Web environments. Customers Realize Strong Performance Gains
The Solaris 10 OS includes innovative features not available on other platforms, such as Dynamic Tracing (DTrace), Predictive Self-Healing and Solaris Containers, enabling customers to more effectively utilize system resources, and more quickly diagnose and resolve system issues in order to maximize their hardware investment and maintain availability. The Solaris OS is the only operating system that guarantees binary compatibility between operating system releases and source code compatibility between SPARC® and x64 (x86, 64 bit) systems. The Solaris 10 OS also currently supports more than 500 platforms providing customers with the ability to take advantage of the broadest choices of hardware in the industry.
