Leading Middle Eastern Law Firm Al Tamimi & Company Selects Interwoven WorkSite for Matter-Centric Collaboration
Morningstar Systems Partners with Interwoven to Implement Matter-Centric Collaboration Solution for the Largest Independent Law Firm in the United Arab Emirates
SUNNYVALE, Calif., - March 21, 2007 - Interwoven, Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV), a global leader in content management solutions, today announced that Al Tamimi & Company, the largest local, non-affiliated law firm in the United Arab Emirates, has selected the Interwoven solution for integrated document and e-mail management to better collaborate on client matters. Al Tamimi & Company is Interwoven's first independent law firm client in the Middle East, illustrating Interwoven's expansion into this important market. As the industry standard for legal IT, Interwoven WorkSite is used today by more AmLaw 100 firms and more top 200 United Kingdom firms than any other solution.
“Interwoven WorkSite for matter-centric collaboration will provide our professionals with a complete, simple-to-use solution for managing e-mails and other matter content within a highly productive, unified environment, and position our firm at the at forefront of legal IT capabilities and best practices,” said Ted Glendening, practice development manager at Al Tamimi & Company.
With Interwoven's matter-centric approach, Al Tamimi & Company will be able to store all electronic client information: documents, e-mails and scanned physical files, all within an integrated electronic client file, in the same way firms have stored paper in standard client folders for centuries. This approach will enable Al Tamimi & Company staff to have a single view of their client files; minimizing search times, enabling them to be shared across the firm and made easily accessible to staff on the road.
Established in 1989, Al Tamimi & Company is today one of the largest law firms in the Middle East with offices in the Emirates of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, as well as locations in Baghdad, Iraq, and Doha, Qatar. The firm selected Interwoven based on its global market leadership and long record of success in meeting the information management needs of leading law firms. The solution's robust, fully integrated e-mail management capabilities were also a key factor in the decision, as well as a remote Web interface that enables users to collaborate on client matters anywhere an Internet connection is available. The complete solution, including Interwoven WorkSite, FileSite with email management, and WorkSite Web, will be implemented by Interwoven partner Morningstar Systems.
“We continue to take share in the legal vertical with our market-leading matter-centric collaboration solution across the globe,” said Chris Junker, vice president and general manager, Professional Services Industry Solutions at Interwoven “Our relationship with Al Tamimi & Company represents the first step in a strategic expansion of our professional services industry solutions business into the Middle East, and we look forward to helping both independent and affiliated firms throughout this vibrant region leverage best-of-breed solutions and best practices for the benefit of their organization and their clients.”
